Sad Departure: 3 key players departed Melbourne victory City just now…
Auckland FC head coach Steve Corica has been named January Coach of the Month in the Isuzu UTE A-League, picking up the monthly award for the third consecutive time after a stellar start to life at the Black Knights.
Corica was named Coach of the Month for both December and October/November in the Isuzu UTE A-League, and has earned the honour for a third time, with the vast majority of fan votes going to the Auckland coach as the Isuzu UTE A-League’s newest club continues to thrive under Corica in the club’s inaugural season.
Corica was nominated for the January award via Football Coaches Australia’s monthly nomination process.
Australian Professional Leagues (APL) partnered with FCA in 2022-23 to give fans a crucial say in recognising outstanding coaching performances across both the Ninja A-League Women and Isuzu UTE A-League Men.
The FCA assembled an experienced panel that decide the monthly nominees for Coach of the Month in both leagues together; a fan vote then decided the winner from the monthly nominees.
The January eligibility period included Rounds 11-15 of the Isuzu UTE A-League season, with results between December 31 and January 22 considered by the FCA Panel when voting for the Coach of the Month nominees.
Corica oversaw four games in the eligibility period, winning once, drawing twice and losing once.
