In terms of transfers, Paul Warne claims there is “nothing” close as he attempts to bolster his Derby County team.
Before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, Derby’s head coach hopes to bring in three more players on loan: a defender, a midfielder, and a striker.
After arriving from Djurgarden on Friday, Jacob Widell Zetterstrom signed a three-year contract to become the Rams’ newest addition.
Now that Derby may carry five loans in the matchday squad, Warde is keen to recruit three more players to further strengthen his options.
He does have room for Jerry Yates and David Ozoh because they are on loan from Swansea and Crystal Palace, respectively.
But following Saturday’s victory over Middlesbrough, when asked if he was any closer to bringing somebody in, Warne replied, “Nothing at this time.” As per normal, we will keep him in the building for a little while.
“You are at the parent club’s mercy as we are almost at the point of loans. I feel like everyone is depending on me.”
