The typical finger-pointing and blame game has resulted from the most recent conflict in the Celtic and Rangers away ticket feud.
It’s unfortunate that after raising hopes that this fixture would return to some semblance of normalcy, we find ourselves back in this mess once more. And yet here we are, about to face another away supporter shutout at Celtic Park the following month, followed by the same at Ibrox on New Year’s Day. Although it’s not ideal, I have to admit that I understand Celtic’s perspective on this.
How can Rangers accept the word of Celtic supporters on face value if they can’t even be honest with their own followers? According to what I can tell, the agreement that was reached in March of last year was contingent on the implementation of specific safety measures following earlier issues. In order to fulfill their end of the agreement, Celtic completed the necessary work and obtained planning approval prior to the first derby. However, what about the Rangers? I understand that there is still time to resolve the issue as the return game is still months away.
