Pedro, a striker for Flamengo, has already experienced his fair share of highs and lows in his career; unfortunately, the past few days have culminated it all in a sad manner.
Late in the transfer window, Nottingham Forest looked to the 27-year-old Brazilian striker, but the deal fell through. Flamengo demanded more money, while the Premier League team offered less.
Pedro has received unfavourable news and an update that eliminates any possibility of Nottingham Forest making a comeback in January.
According to a report published today by Globo in Brazil, Pedro suffered an anterior cruciate ligament damage to his left knee during yesterday’s training session in Curitiba. Many Brazilian players then showed their support for the Selecao striker on social media.
Pedro, who scored 30 goals in all competitions for Flamengo in 2024 and turned into a highly reliable goal scorer for them in recent years following a lacklustre stint at Fiorentina, is devastated by the injury.
The player has suffered his second ACL injury at a time when he was expected to establish himself as a mainstay in the Brazil national squad.
