On Friday night, 28,800 people attended Sheffield Wednesday’s match versus Leeds United at Hillsborough.
Given that it was an evening game that was also televised live, the attendance wasn’t too bad. Regrettably, the home crowd was left feeling disappointed at the conclusion of the evening after they won 2-0 away from home behind goals from Dan James and Brenden Aaronson.
Even though Wednesday was clearly the underdog in this Yorkshire derby versus the Whites, they turned out full of hope, seeking to get back to winning ways after Sunderland’s crushing defeat the previous weekend. Before the whistle, they were all grinning.
